7 MORE DEATHS, 71 NEW POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 8 MORE PRESUMPTIVE

7 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 71 more people have received new positive test results and 8 more are presumptive, as of Friday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data for Thursday and Friday.

The new deaths include a 61-year old woman, a 32-year old man, a 43-year old woman, a 69-year old man, a 61-year old man, a 64-year old man, and a 58-year old man. Only the 64-year old man was fully vaccinated.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 11,575. Of those, 11,235 are people that have received positive test results and 340 are presumptive. 44 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 30 locally and 14 outside the area, including 1 that has been transferred out of state. 9 ventilators and 10 BiPAP machines are in use. 5 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 3 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 40 out of the 44 patients are not fully vaccinated.
