Rain hit the Roseburg area on Tuesday afternoon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the area received around .40 inches of rain, though amounts varied at weather stations in the Roseburg area.

The rain appeared to contribute to a number of accidents on area roads during the late afternoon hours.
