7 MORE DEATHS, 120 NEW POSITIVE TEST RESULTS

7 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, and 120 more people have received new positive test results, as of Wednesday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data reported Tuesday and Wednesday.

The new deaths include a 77-year old man, 2 70-year old men, an 87-year old woman, an 89-year old woman, an 81-year old man and a 64-year old man. The 87-year old woman, the 89-year old woman and the 81-year old man were fully vaccinated.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 11,496. Of those, 11,164 are people that have received positive test results and 332 are presumptive. 46 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 27 locally and 19 outside the area including 1 that has been transferred out of state. 12 ventilators and 8 BiPAP machines are in use. 9 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 2 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 43 out of the 46 patients are not fully vaccinated.
