A woman was taken to the hospital after an SUV crashed on Tuesday afternoon.

A report from Oregon State Police said at about 4:30 p.m. the vehicle was southbound just north of Rice Valley. A recent rainfall caused water to be flowing across the travel lane. The SUV hydroplaned and the driver could not correct the vehicle’s path. The SUV struck the concrete center divider of the median, causing damage to the vehicle.

The passenger was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. The SUV had to be towed from the scene.
