On Friday, Umpqua Community College will hold its annual Day of Remembrance to reflect on the events of October 1st, 2015.

A release said the campus flag will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset. Floral arrangements that collectively serve as a tribute to survivors and those lost will be displayed around the campus flag pole.

The Day of Remembrance ceremony will include brief comments by invited guests and a time of remembering the Umpqua Nine. It will be held at the Swanson Amphitheater at 12:00 p.m. The ceremony will also be live-streamed on the campus YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/umpquacc
