5 MORE DEATHS, 60 MORE POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 4 MORE PRESUMPTIVE

5 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 60 more people have received new positive test results, and 4 more are presumptive, as of Monday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data reported between Saturday and Monday.

The new deaths include a 73-year old man, a 71-year old woman, a 72-year old woman, a 70-year old man and a 72-year old man.  None were vaccinated.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 11,055. Of those, 10,725 are people that have received positive test results, and 330 are presumptive. 77 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 51 locally and 26 outside the area, including 1 that has been transferred out of state. 16 ventilators and 12 BiPaP machines are in use. 11 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 8 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 34 percent of the total hospitalized patients at CHI Mercy Medical Center are COVID positive. 67 of the 77 COVID positive patients are not fully vaccinated.
