A Roseburg woman was cited Tuesday, following an alleged hit and run accident last week.

A Roseburg Police report said on September 15th a 32-year old man was traveling south on Northwest Goetz as he approached the intersection with Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. A 79-year old woman turned north on Goetz and attempted to make a right turn into the alley behind a business. The report said the driver was unable to complete the turn and instead backed up into the side of the first vehicle, and then left the scene.

The woman was contacted later and told an officer that she was pretty shook up from the collision, and decided to go to Carl’s Jr. instead of exchanging information.

The report said damage to both vehicles was very minor. The woman was cited for failure to perform the duties of a driver and was released.
