Only slight growth has taken place on the Rough Patch Complex, which is now at 50,264 acres.
An update from the Great Basin Incident Management Team 2 said as much as 2 inches of rain has fallen over the majority of the fire area since Friday night. This significant amount of rain has decreased fire activity across all fires to only smoldering in heavy fuels. This very favorable weather has given fire managers time to plan for additional control measures to bring these fires closer to containment and focus on fire suppression repair. Moderate weather is in the forecast which will further aid firefighting efforts.
The Chaos Fire and the Little Bend Fire remain at 28,696 acres and 9,382 acres respectively. The Jack Fire, Buckhead Fire and Near Minky fires also remain unchanged in their size.
Containment on the Rough Patch Complex is up slightly to 38 percent while containment on Jack Fire stays at 55 percent.
