A vehicle sheared off a “no parking” sign on Thursday night.

A Roseburg Police report said at 6:35 p.m. an 18-year old driver made a wide right hand turn from Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard onto Northeast Cedar Street. The driver quickly turned back into her lane to avoid an oncoming vehicle, but overcorrected and drove onto the sidewalk, causing her vehicle to collide with the sign, shearing it off completely.

The report said the sedan traveled approximately 50 feet before coming to rest on the west side of the road. Both front airbags deployed but the driver denied any medical attention. The woman was cited for failure to maintain a lane.
