11 NEW DEATHS, 217 NEW POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 2 NEW PRESUMPTIVE

11 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 217 more people have received new positive test results, and 2 more are presumptive, as of Wednesday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data reported Tuesday and Wednesday.

County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the new deaths included an 80-year old man, a 75-year old man, a 50-year old woman, an 86-year old woman, a 70-year old man, an 80-year old man, an 89-year old man, a 43-year old man, a 39-year old woman, a 65-year old woman, and a 75-year old man. None were vaccinated except for the 86-year old woman.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 10,497. Of those, 10,185 are people that have received positive test results and 312 are presumptive. 79 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 55 locally and 24 outside the area, including 1 that has been transferred out of state. 19 ventilators and 11 BiPap machines are in use. 14 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 14 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 72 out of the 79 patients are not fully vaccinated.
