A Drain man was jailed following a reported DUII incident on Sunday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just after 8:30 p.m. a deputy responded to a driving complaint in the area of Territorial Highway and Curtin Road. Witnesses reported seeing an SUV swerving into the oncoming lane, not stopping for a stop sign and almost causing a head-on collision. The report said the deputy saw the vehicle in Drain and began following it. After observing poor driving behavior, he stopped the vehicle in the 600 block of Division Street.

DCSO said the driver had indicators of impairment and admitted to drinking within the previous half hour. An adult passenger and a toddler were also in the vehicle. The driver was taken into custody and transported to Douglas County Corrections. Three hours after the traffic stop, the man registered a .09 blood alcohol level.

Charges included DUII-alcohol, reckless driving, and two counts of reckless endangering. The man was released on Monday.
