The Rough Patch Complex has grown to 46,092 acres.

An update from the Great Basin Incident Management Team 2 said the incoming flow of warm, dry air with wind gusts of up to 20 miles per hour is expected to accelerate creeping fire behavior and the potential for single tree torching. Large growth of the fire is not expected to take place.

The Chaos Fire is up to 25,392 acres with the Little Bend Creek Fire now at 8,970 acres. Work on the northern tip of the Chaos Fire is becoming secure. The fire at Horse Heaven Creek – off the 3829 Road continues to slowly grow north. Crews are actively working to slow the growth along the fire’s edge.

The Jack Fire remains at 23,990 acres while the Buckhead Fire has grown to 6,861 acres. The New Minkly Fire has increased slightly to 4,869 acres.

Containment on the Rough Patch Complex is 36 percent while containment on the Jack Fire remains at 55 percent.
