7 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 219 more people have received new positive test results, and 1 more is presumptive, as of Monday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data reported between Saturday and Monday

County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the new deaths include:

*A 32-year old man who died on September 5th and was confirmed positive with COVID-19 post-mortem on September 7th. He was not vaccinated.

*A 77-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 24th and passed away on Friday. He was not vaccinated.

*An 87-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 11th and passed away on September 2nd. She was not vaccinated.

*A 75-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 3rd and passed away on Friday. He was fully vaccinated.

*A 78-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 5th and passed away Saturday. He was not vaccinated.

*A 58-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 9th and passed away on Saturday. He was not vaccinated.

*A 41-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 September 5th and passed away on Friday. She was not vaccinated.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 10,278. Of those, 9,968 are people that have received positive test results and 310 are presumptive. 92 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 61 locally and 31 outside the area, including one that has been transferred out of state. 14 ventilators and 12 BiPap machines are in use. 14 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 9 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 86 patients out of 92 are not fully vaccinated.
