ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN AFTER ALLEGED CRIMINAL MISCHIEF INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man after an alleged criminal mischief incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 2:50 a.m. 37-year old Nathan Stookey walked over to the Cancer Center after being discharged from CHI Mercy Medical Center and broke out one of the front windows. While in the parking lot, Stookey reportedly also broke out the back window of a parked vehicle. The report said the suspect then went into the Cancer Center through the broken window, where he was contacted when police arrived.

On the way to jail, the man allegedly kicked the partition in the patrol vehicle, causing damage.

Stookey was charged with three counts of first-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree counts of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. Bail was set at $153,750.
