MAN JAILED IN STOLEN VEHICLE CASE

A Seattle man was jailed in a stolen vehicle case on Thursday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at about 7:30 a.m. a deputy located a sedan at the rest area just north of Metz Hill along Interstate Five.  The report said the car’s windows were covered, making it difficult to see if there was an occupant.

32-year old Justin Montalvo was found inside the vehicle and eventually woke up. He was taken into custody where he provided several false names and dates of birth. The suspect was eventually identified and a warrant was located. He was also charged for possession of a stolen vehicle for providing false information.

Bail was set at $56,250.
