MAN JAILED FOLLOWING ALLEGED ASSAULT

A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged assault incident early Thursday.

A Roseburg Police report said at about 1:00 a.m. 30-year old Robert Flores was allegedly seen by multiple people hitting a woman in the parking lot of a business in the 1300 block of Southeast Stephens. Flores reportedly ran from the scene once officers arrived, but was tackled a short time later. He allegedly fought with officers and had to be tased in order to be placed in handcuffs.

The report said the victim claimed she had pain in her jaw that radiated to her ear that stemmed from being hit.

Flores was charged with fourth-degree assault, second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $10,000.
