A Roseburg man was cited for criminal mischief in the second degree on Thursday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 11:00 p.m. officers responded to a business in the 500 block of Southeast Jackson for a report that a man was breaking a window to that business.

Officers contacted the 37-year old a block away matching the description of the suspect. The man said he was having a heated argument on the phone and swung his arm in a punching motion not realizing he was so close to the window. The suspect said he hit the window, causing it to crack.

The man was released after being cited.
