In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Umpqua Community College Performing and Visual Arts is celebrating the return to school by presenting a concert featuring local high school music educators performing with UCC music faculty on Sunday. A release said those performing include band and choir directors from Roseburg, Sutherlin, South Umpqua, Riddle, Oakland, North Douglas and Phoenix high schools. The event will feature a wide range of musical styles including classical, jazz, and Americana.

Those attending can bring their own chair or blankets to the event which will be held outdoors in the Swanson Amphitheatre on the UCC campus. The concert will begin at 3:00 p.m. and admission is free.
