Greater Douglas United Way has canceled the 39th annual Dave Johnson Memorial Charity Golf Tournament.

Executive Director Bryan Trenkle said the move was made due to the developing situation with COVID-19 in the community. The event was scheduled for Thursday.

Trenkle said, “We are disappointed that we have to make this decision but feel that it is our responsibility to help flatten this recent surge and help keep our community safe”. Trenkle hopes to host the tournament again next year.

Trenkle thanked the many sponsors for their support of the event.
