A 41-year old man was jailed following an alleged elude incident on Wednesday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 2:00 a.m. a deputy observed a sedan traveling northbound on Northeast Stephens at approximately 70 miles per hour. The deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop but the driver continued at a high rate of speed, running three lights before coming to a stop near Airport Road when the vehicle began to fail.

The report said Joshua Wood was taken into custody and said he was having a bad day which is why he decided not to stop.

Charges included attempting to elude police, reckless driving, driving while suspended and for a parole violation. Wood was held without bail.
