3 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 351 more people have received new positive test results, and there is 1 more presumptive, as of Monday.
The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered information reported between Saturday and Monday.
County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the new deaths include:
*A 68-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 22nd and passed away on Thursday. He was not vaccinated.
*A 54-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 14th and passed away on Friday. He was not vaccinated.
*A 62-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 28th and passed away on Friday. She was fully vaccinated.
The update said the total number of cases is now at 9,577. Of those, 9,283 are people that have received positive test results and 294 are presumptive. 110 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 77 locally and 33 outside the area, including one that has been transferred out of state. 20 ventilators and 14 BiPap machines are in use. 18 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 16 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 104 out of the 110 are not fully vaccinated.
