DRIVER HOSPITALIZED AFTER VEHICLE ROLLS

The driver was hospitalized after his vehicle rolled on Thursday.

A report from Oregon State Police said at about 4:30 a.m. an SUV was headed southbound on Interstate Five in north Douglas County near the Cox Road exit. The vehicle swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle. It went off the roadway, rolling over and coming to an uncontrolled stop against a dirt bank.

The report said the driver had to be extricated from the SUV. The man was transported to the hospital and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
