40 MORE DEATHS, 5,545 NEW COVID-19 CASES IN OREGON

On Monday, the Oregon Health Authority reported 40 more deaths and 5,545 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 in Oregon.

OHA said the state’s death toll is now at 3,155 while the state case total is 273,896.

The report shows data recorded by counties for the three-day period between Friday and Sunday.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 1,120, which is 23 fewer than on Sunday. There are 316 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 14 fewer than on Sunday.

The new cases include:

*442 in Douglas County

*431 in Deschutes County

*255 in Josephine County

*248 in Linn County

*124 in Yamhill County

*81 in Tillamook County

*80 in Umatilla County

*72 in Klamath County

*66 in Columbia County

*62 each in Benton and Union counties

*58 each in Clatsop and Curry counties

*49 in Polk County

*39 in Jefferson County

*32 in Wallowa County

*29 in Wasco County

*27 in Crook County

*21 in Malheur County

*20 in Morrow County

*17 each in Baker, Grant and Hood River counties

*12 in Harney County

*2 each in Gilliam and Sherman counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 21 to 94. 12 lived in Douglas County. 5 lived in Lane County. 3 each lived in Jackson, and Josephine counties. 2 each lived in Curry, Umatilla, Morrow, and Marion counties. 1 each lived in Yamhill, Gilliam, Grant, Deschutes, Klamath, Linn Jefferson, and Union counties.

OHA reported that 4,629 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 761 were initial doses and 508 were second doses that were administered on Sunday. 3,240 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Sunday.
