ROUGH PATCH COMPLEX UP BY 5,000 ACRES

The Rough Patch Complex has grown by around 5,000 acres and is burning in 29,745 acres.

The Northern Rockies Incident Management Team 1 took command of the fire on Saturday. Their update said the Chaos Fire has grown to 15,301 acres while the Little Bend Fire is up to 6,573 acres. Fire line on the west side of the Chaos Fire continues to hold. Crews are making progress on the northwest side of the fire constructing line from Shane Saddle to Bohemia Mountain. Structure protection needs are being evaluated north of the Chaos Fire. Along the southern boundary of the Chaos Fire, line construction along the 3821 Road continues toward the southern end of Little Bend. Crews are continuing to improve containment lines by conducting mop up operations from burnout on previous days. When conditions are favorable, firing operations will continue along this southern boundary toward Little Bend.

The Jack Fire has grown only slightly and is at 23,866 acres. The Buckhead Fire is at 3,226 acres while the Minky Fire is at 4,641 acres.
