ROUGH PATCH COMPLEX GROWS BY OVER 700 ACRES

The Rough Patch Complex has grown by over 700 acres and is listed at just under 25,000 acres.

An update from Great Basin Incident Management Team 2 said the Chaos Fire is at 13,529 acres while the Little Bend Fire is at 6,208 acres. Securing the west side of the Chaos Fire is going well. Burnout operations are complete on this flank. Firefighters are focused on holding the fire in place to prevent spread to the west. The primary containment lines of these fires lay on the west and northwest flanks. Primary containment lines are complete between the Chaos and the Little Bend Fire and are being reinforced with burning out of fuels between the fires. Alternate containment lines are being improved on the south flank of the fire as well.

The update said the Jack Fire is at 23,853 acres. The Buckhead Fire is just over 3,000 acres. The Near Minky Fire is listed at 4,387 acres.
