DEVIL’S KNOB COMPLEX APPROACHING 22,000 ACRES

The Devil’s Knob Complex, on the Tiller Ranger District of the Umpqua National Forest is approaching 22,000 acres.

An update from Great Incident Management Team 2 said good progress was made on the complex on Saturday. Fire crews continued adding protection through line construction and firing operations. Lines are holding well on the western portion of the fires. Further containment was realized on Mule Creek and Hamlin fires.

An incident management team arrived at Milo Camp on Sunday, in preparation for taking over the Devil’s Knob Complex within the next several days.

A public meeting with held Saturday night at the Tiller Fire Department, providing an opportunity for residents to hear recent reports from fire officials, local agencies, and elected officials. A video of the meeting is posted on the incident Facebook page.

The Devil’s Knob Complex is now listed at 21,929 acres and remains 25 percent contained.
