MAN HURT IN EARLY MORNING WRECK

A Glide man was hurt in an early morning wreck on Thursday.

A report from Oregon State Police said just after 5:20 a.m. an SUV was traveling east on Highway 138E near Toketee when the driver swerved to miss a tree that had fallen in the road. The SUV left the highway and hit a large tree. The driver had to be extricated and was taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center with serious injuries. He was listed in fair condition at last check, according to a hospital spokesperson.

The man was cited for driving while suspended.
