Crews continue to deal with active fire on the Jack Fire and Rough Patch Complex of Fires, burning on the Umpqua National Forest.

An update from Northwest Incident Management Team 2 said the southwest and south flanks of the Jack Fire, along with parts of several other fires, remain active. Construction of primary and alternate fire lines continues as needed.

Stronger winds from the west and northwest are expected, which will increase fire behavior.

The Jack Fire is still 51 percent contained, burning in just under 23,700 acres. The Rough Patch Complex remains 3 percent contained, burning in just under 14,600 acres
