INDUSTRIAL FIRE PRECAUTION LEVEL 3 BEGINS MONDAY

August 15, 2021 8:00 a.m.

Effective Monday, the Douglas Forest Protective Association will reduce the Industrial Fire Precaution Level to IFPL 3 on all lands protected by DFPA.

Kyle Reed of DFPA said the change means that industrial operators will be allowed back to work within the Douglas District. Reed said for the general public, the fire danger will remain at Extreme with no changes to Public Use Restrictions.

IFPL 3 requires logging, road building and other industrial operations that utilize power driven machinery in forests and wildland areas to shut down most equipment between 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A detailed list of activities restricted under IFPL 3 can be found at: https://www.oregon.gov/odf/fire/documents/industrial-fire-precaution-levels.pdf
