COVID-19 has claimed 7 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,935, as of Friday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,785 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 238,463. The new cases include:

*159 in Deschutes County
*149 in Douglas County
*134 in Multnomah County
*119 in Washington County
*116 in Marion County
*94 in Clackamas County
*84 in Jackson County
*83 in Umatilla County
*77 in Josephine County
*71 in Linn County
*50 in Coos County
*42 in Clatsop County
*36 in Yamhill County
*27 in Polk County
*23 in Curry County
*22 in Union and Wasco counties
*21 each in Benton, Columbia and Klamath counties
*19 in Jefferson County
*18 in Hood River County
*17 each in Lincoln and Tillamook counties
*16 in Morrow County
*15 in Malheur County
*14 in Crook County
*7 in Baker County
*6 in Wallowa County
*2 in Gilliam County
*1 each in Harney, Lake, and Sherman counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 56 to 95. 1 each lived in Douglas, Multnomah, Marion, Jackson, Curry, Crook and Coos counties.
OHA said for the third day in a row, Oregon set a new record for COVID-19 hospitalizations, with 733 hospitalized. That is 63 more than on Thursday. There are 185 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 8 more than on Thursday.
OHA reported that 8,660 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 2,727 were initial doses and 1,073 ere second doses administered on Thursday. 4,828 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Thursday.
