Friday is the third day of the Douglas County Fair.

The main gate opens at 7:00 a.m. daily for 4-H and FFA activities. The carnival gate opens at 10:00 a.m. with carnival rides beginning at 11:00 a.m. The commercial buildings open at 11:00 a.m.

It is Military Day and those with military issued identification are admitted free until 5:00 p.m. Fairgoers can “dress a veggie” and get free fair admission between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Admission is free all day for kids 12 and under thanks to the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians. Teens can get $2 off the admission price when they bring canned food.

Country group Shenandoah plays at the Cascade Community Credit Union Amphitheater at 8:00 p.m. There is also entertainment on the News Review Garden Park Stage beginning at 2:15 p.m.

Buses to the fair run on the hour and half hour from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Buses are available at Roseburg High School, the First Student lot in Green and at Jo Lane Middle School.

The fair runs through 11:00 p.m.
