VEHICLES TOTALED IN MONDAY WRECK

August 3, 2021 9:50 a.m.

Two vehicles were totaled in a wreck on Monday.

A report from Roseburg Police said just after 1:00 p.m. a 37-year old Myrtle Creek man was traveling south on Northeast Stephens as he approached the intersection with Northeast Exchange. An 82-year old Roseburg man was on Exchange, as he stopped at the stop sign with Stephens, facing east.

The report said the second driver claimed he looked before he entered the roadway, and never saw the first vehicle. The second driver pulled directly into the pat of he first driver, giving that driver no time to react. The front bumper of the first vehicle collided with the driver’s front wheel and door of the second vehicle.

Air bags deployed in both vehicles, but each driver claimed to be uninjured. The man who caused the accident was cited for failure to yield before entering a roadway.
