EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING

An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect until 11:00 p.m. Friday for central Douglas County and much of the surrounding region.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 104 degrees are possible.

The Warning area includes most of the west side valleys and applies to Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford and Ashland.

Forecasters said extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
