Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies detained a man for reported identity theft, on Tuesday.

A DCSO report said on July 20th at 7:00 a.m. 46-year old Keenan Moore allegedly entered a victim’s vehicle and removed her wallet in the 300 block of School Street in Drain. The suspect then reportedly removed two debit cards and tried to use them online. Both transactions were declined. Moore later allegedly attempted to use one of the cards at a store in Drain, but that transaction was also declined.

The report said the suspect is known to the victim, so she contacted him online and asked why he took her debit card. The man said he was sorry and that drugs made him do it. Moore returned the victim’s wallet and debit cards but allegedly kept $20.

Moore was arrested on Tuesday. Charges include identity theft, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, computer crimes, and third-degree theft. Bail was set at $82,500.
