A man was hospitalized after his vehicle hit the guard rail on Interstate Five on Monday.

A report from Oregon State Police said at shortly after 4:30 p.m. a vehicle was northbound on the freeway near the summit of Roberts Mountain when it stuck the guard rail, damaging approximately 25 feet of it. The driver was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries.

The vehicle had to be towed from the scene. No further information was released by OSP.
