On Friday, Douglas County Fire District No. 2 deployed its Rapid Extraction Module Support Team to the Jack Fire, burning east of Glide.
A release said the team is prepared for 14 days of deployment.

The R.E.M.S. Team is a resource designed to be assigned to incidents and provide technical rescue support when needed. The Team is responsible for all technical rescues within the boundaries of Douglas County. The release said the group’s expertise is not limited to low and high angle rescue but also includes swift water rescue and all hazard incidents. All members are licensed paramedics.
