TRANSIENT JAILED IN ALLEGED TRESPASS AND THEFT INCIDENT

A transient male was jailed in an alleged trespass and theft incident by Roseburg Police on Monday.

An RPD report said at 1:15 p.m. a business in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway said that the 37-year old had just been in the store after having previously been trespassed. The suspect allegedly stole a fixed blade knife before fleeing the store on foot.

Officers located the man a short distance away and took him into custody.

Charges included second-degree trespass and third-degree theft. The suspect was detained without bail.
