Staff with the Oregon Department of Transportation and contractors are continuing work to pave eight miles of Interstate Five from Garden Valley Boulevard to Roberts Creek Road and do some related work.
An ODOT report said the project began in May with paving along the center median/ Then the contractor did concrete repairs in areas that had been damaged which included a lot of slow lane work from the Harvard Avenue interchange south to the landfill exit. Some ramps have been paved as well.
Last week work began paving the travel lanes. Staff from ODOT said crews started in the southbound direction around the Garden Valley Boulevard interchange and are working south. Drivers should watch for intermittent late weeknight work between Sunday nights and Friday mornings from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. There will be intermittent ramp closures and motorists be should ready to use alternate routes.
