TWO JAILED IN ALLEGED ASSAULT AND UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON INCIDENT

Two people were jailed in an alleged assault and unlawful use of a weapon incident on Sunday.

A DCSO report said at about 3:45 a.m. deputies responded to a disturbance with a firearm involved, in the 300 block of North Main Street in Canyonville. The report said two people got into a physical altercation and a woman allegedly discharged a firearm inside the house with three children present.

A man allegedly punched and headbutted the woman after she discharged the firearm, and then left the residence. Deputies took the woman into custody. The man was later located walking in the area and was detained.

34-year old Tiffany Fairweather was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and for three counts or reckless endangering. Bail was set at $75,000. 36-year old Dana Fairweather was held for a felony count of fourth-degree assault. Bail was set at $50,000.
