The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 3 “Go” Evacuation Order for a portion of the Jack Creek Fire area.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell said all recreation areas, homes and businesses between mile marker 43 east to Eagle Rock Campground, fall under that order. Eagle Rock Campground is three miles east of the Dry Creek Store.

Under Level 3 or “Go”:

*Those who choose not to evacuate should know that emergency services may be not be able to assist them further

*Those impacted should grab their “go kit” and leave immediately

*People in that area should follow their evacuation plan and stay informed

O’Dell said danger to the evacuated area is current and imminent and people should evacuate immediately.

A Level 2 “Be Set” notice has been issued for everything east of Eagle Rock Campground to Soda Springs. Those in this area should be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice though its recommended that residents voluntarily relocate to a shelter or with family/friends outside the affected area.
