Roseburg Police jailed a man following an incident early Saturday.

An RPD report said at 3:25 a.m. neighbors reported that two people were physically fighting in an apartment in the 800 block of West Princeton. Responding officers knocked on the door for several minutes and a woman finally came outside. She was not injured and denied that anything physical had happened. The report said she also told officers that the man with her was no longer in the apartment.

Dispatch advised that there was a no contact order between the two people. Officers searched the apartment with K9 Axel and eventually found the suspect hiding under a sofa in the living room. The report said the 36-year old refused to show his hands. Axel performed a biting capture and the man was taken into custody.

He was charged with violation of a no contact order and was released later that day.
