The Douglas County 2021 Special Districts Election has been certified.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis provided a few statistics from the election:

*19.59 percent of county voters returned a ballot in the election. That translated to 16,338 ballots which is about 1 percent head of the rates for the 2017 and 2019 Special Districts Election

*247 individuals were elected to various Special Districts.

*21 people were elected to positions by write-in. 1 write-in winner won by exceeding the number of votes for the filed candidate.
