This Saturday and Sunday it is a Free Fishing Weekend in Oregon.

A release from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife said although no fishing licenses or tags are required for those two days, all other fishing restrictions apply including closures, bag limits and size restrictions. The release said with Oregon facing a serious drought this summer, warmwater fishing may be a good choice for Free Fishing Weekend.

The next Free Fishing Weekend in Oregon will be the two days after Thanksgiving, November 26th and 27th.
