COVID-19 CLAIMS 3 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,686, AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 3 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,686, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 436 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 202,675. The new cases include:

*66 in Clackamas County

*49 in Marion County

*48 in Washington County

*45 in Multnomah County

*38 in Lane County

*27 each in Deschutes and Linn counties

*24 in Douglas County

*15 in Crook County

*14 in Jackson County

*12 in Umatilla County

*9 each in Polk and Yamhill counties

*7 in Klamath County

*6 each in Jefferson and Morrow counties

*5 in Harney County

*4 each in Columbia, Curry, and Josephine counties

*3 each in Lincoln and Union counties

*2 each in Baker, Benton, Grant and Wasco counties

*1 each in Malheur, Tillamook, and Wallowa counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 58 to 84. 1 each lived in Klamath, Harney and Marion counties.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 219, which is 9 fewer than on Thursday. There are57 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 6 fewer than on Thursday.

OHA reported that 25,237 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 9,587 doses were administered on Thursday. 15,650 were administered prior to Thursday.
