The South Umpqua School District Lunchbox Express van will deliver free meals to children at various south county sites this summer.
The free “grab-and-go” meals are available to all children and teens 18 years and younger. Meals will be available Mondays through Thursdays from June 14th through August 12th at these times and locations:
*11:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Myrtle Terrace Apartments
*11:20 a.m. to 11:35 a.m. at Myrtle Creek Elementary
*11:40 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. at Millsite Park
*12:00 p.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Meadowlark Apartments
*12:25 p.m. to 12:40 p.m. at Tri City Elementary in Tri City
*1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Stagecoach Apartments in Canyonville
Meals will also be available Mondays through Thursdays from June 14th to July 1st and from August 2nd to August 12th:
*12:50 pm. to 1:05 p.m. at Riddle Park in Riddle
Meals will also be offered weekdays from July 6th through July 30th at Riddle Elementary in Riddle with breakfast served from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 10:40 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The summer food program is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service and is administered by the Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs. Go to www.susd.k12.or.us
