ROSEBURG HAD RECORD HIGH FOR THE DATE, SECOND DAY

Roseburg had a new record high temperature for the date, for the second day in a row, on Wednesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury reached 94 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous record high for the date was 92 degrees, set in 1937.

Klamath Falls set a new record for the date, reaching 95 degrees. The previous record was 92 degrees, set in 1924.

Medford got to 98 degrees but its previous record for the date was 102 degrees.

The region will cool down for at least the next week. Roseburg will be in the 80s through Friday, before dropping to the 70s beginning on Saturday.
