30 NEW POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 1 PRESUMPTIVE NOW POSITIVE, 1 NEW PRESUMPTIVE

30 more people have received new positive test results for COVID-19 in Douglas County, 1 presumptive has been moved to positive with a positive test result, and there is 1 new presumptive case, as of Thursday.

County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer told News Radio 1240 KQEN, “Certainly with 59 cases over a two-day period, we are close to our peak during the pandemic”. Dannenhoffer said more variants are being noted as well.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 3,638. Of those, 3,468 are people that have received positive test results and 170 are presumptive. There have been 78 deaths. 14 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 8 locally and 6 outside the area. 197 people are in isolation. 561 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 758 people that are either in isolation or quarantine. That is an increase of 26 people since Wednesday.
