A 42-year old man was jailed on the charge of third-degree assault on Sunday.

A report from the Winston Police said just after 10:30 p.m. an officer responded to Ford Street, in regards to a runaway juvenile possibly being at the location. The juvenile was located and showed officers a video. The report said video footage allegedly showed an adult male physically striking a juvenile several times in the head.

Jason Mackey was arrested and taken to jail. Staff with the Oregon Department of Human Services was notified. The investigation is ongoing.

Mackey was released from custody on Tuesday.
