Tuesday will likely be the hottest day of the year so far for Roseburg.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service expect a high of 97 degrees. The hottest day of the year so far was Monday, when the mercury reached 92 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. Tuesday’s high will likely break the record high for the date. That was 91 degrees, recorded in 1937.

Medford is expecting a high of 104 degrees with Grants Pass reaching 103 degrees.

Temperatures are slated to cool to the 80s for Wednesday through Friday, before dropping back to the 70s, starting on Saturday.
