The Glide Veterans Memorial will conduct an outdoor ceremony at 9:00 a.m. on Memorial Day.

Organizer Mike Armstrong said the event is being held to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives while serving and protecting the nation as members of the military.

Participants will include a color guard and chaplain from VFW District #12, the singing of the National Anthem by Colleen Bechtel, and more. Coffee and pastries will be available.

The Glide Veterans Memorial is located next to the Glide Community Center on North Umpqua Highway in Glide.
